Overview

NutriBird A19 is a high-energy hand-rearing food for macaws, African greys, eclectus parrots and other baby birds with high energy requirements. It is formulated for use from hatching through to weaning and provides protein, fat, vitamins, minerals and amino acids for the development of young birds.

Preparation & Feeding

Administer approximately 10% of the bird’s body weight per feeding session. Prepare a fresh mixture for every meal.

Hatching–Day 2 1 part A19 : 6 parts water
Day 2–Day 3 1 part A19 : 5 parts water
Day 3–Day 4 1 part A19 : 4 parts water
Day 4–Day 5 1 part A19 : 3 parts water
Day 5–Weaning 1 part A19 : 2–2.5 parts water

Mix thoroughly with hot water, allow the porridge to settle briefly, then cool to approximately 39°C before feeding. Stir again immediately before use.

During the first preparations, weigh the food and water accurately rather than estimating the proportions.
