ProRep Python Life 10L
About This Product
ProRep Python Life is a 10-litre loose vivarium substrate from the species-specific Life range. It is designed principally for royal python enclosures and for pythons associated with tropical-forest environments.
The mixed substrate provides a softer, comfortable enclosure floor while helping with moisture retention, humidity management and reducing dry patches. It is also designed to support natural behaviour within the enclosure.
It may also be suitable for other snake species from similar habitats, where the enclosure conditions match the needs of the species being kept.

Composition & Benefits
Python Life is a natural organic blend of coconut husk and soft, fine tropical clay soil.
The clay soil helps retain moisture and creates a substrate surface that reflects the soils found in the intended animals' natural habitat. Coconut husk gives the blend a lighter, softer texture that can hold moisture and release it gradually into the enclosure atmosphere.
- Designed to retain moisture and provide a comfortable substrate surface.
- Helps with humidity control within an appropriately managed enclosure.
- Helps reduce dry areas through the substrate layer.
- Supports natural behaviour in the vivarium.
- Combines a soft, lighter coconut-husk structure with fine tropical clay soil.
How to Set Up
- Spread the substrate evenly across the enclosure floor.
- For young animals, use a substrate depth of at least 3 inches / 7.5cm.
- For mature animals, use a depth of 6 inches / 15cm or more.
Choose enclosure conditions and substrate depth that are appropriate for the individual species being kept.
Humidity & Care Guide
- Spray as needed to keep the substrate slightly damp and help provide humidity.
- Avoid making the substrate overly wet or saturated.
- For the intended python enclosure setup, maintain enclosure humidity at around 50–60%.
- Replace the full substrate layer every two to three weeks.
The substrate can assist with humidity management, but regular monitoring is needed to maintain suitable enclosure conditions.
