ProRep Spider Life Substrate is a species-specific substrate for spiders and scorpions, including burrowing species from humid habitats. It is designed to help you create a more suitable enclosure base for invertebrates that need a substrate they can settle into and shape.

Use & Care
- Spread the substrate evenly across the enclosure base.
- Use around 1–2 inches (2.5–5 cm) for most species.
- Use around 2–4 inches (5–10 cm) for burrowing species.
- Keep the substrate evenly moist, but do not make it too wet.
- Replace the substrate completely every 2–3 months, or sooner if needed.
For species that like to dig, a deeper layer can give them more opportunity to burrow and settle naturally. For less active species, a shallower layer may be enough, provided the enclosure stays comfortably humid without becoming waterlogged.
Maintain moisture carefully so the substrate stays suitable without becoming too wet.
