Silent Crickets Pre-Pack, Med/Small
Smaller Active Feeder Insects
Medium/small silent crickets are a versatile livefood option for younger animals and smaller insect-eating reptiles, amphibians and exotic pets. Their quick movement encourages natural chasing and hunting behaviour.
Despite their common name, mature males may still produce some noise, although they are generally quieter than traditional house crickets.
Key Benefits
- A manageable size for many smaller insectivores.
- Encourages natural hunting and feeding responses.
- Provides stimulating enclosure enrichment.
- Can be gut-loaded and dusted before feeding.
- Useful as part of a varied livefood rotation.
Suitable For
Medium/small crickets may be suitable for juvenile bearded dragons, leopard geckos, crested geckos, smaller chameleons, frogs, young insectivorous reptiles and other appropriately sized exotic pets.
Always check that the individual cricket is a safe and manageable size for your animal.
How to Use
- Offer in quantities appropriate to your pet’s age, size and feeding plan.
- Gut-load with a formulated feeder-insect diet before use.
- Dust with calcium or vitamin supplement where required.
- Allow supervised hunting or offer individually using suitable feeding tongs.
- Remove uneaten crickets so they cannot disturb or nibble at your pet.
Keeping Crickets
Keep in a secure, dry and well-ventilated container with suitable hiding material. Supply appropriate cricket food and safe hydration, and protect from overcrowding, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Some natural variation in cricket size and quantity should be expected.
