Morio Pre-Pack
Substantial Livefood for Larger Pets
Morio worms, sometimes called superworms, are large and active feeder larvae suitable for many larger insect-eating reptiles and exotic pets. Their movement attracts attention and provides an engaging addition to a varied livefood diet.
Because they are rich and have a firm outer casing, morio worms are best fed in moderation rather than used as the sole feeder.
Key Benefits
- A substantial feeder for larger insectivores.
- Active movement encourages feeding interest.
- Easy to portion and offer individually.
- Can be gut-loaded before use.
- Adds variety to a balanced livefood rotation.
Suitable For
Morio worms may be suitable for adult bearded dragons, larger geckos, monitor lizards, larger amphibians, insect-eating birds and other appropriately sized exotic pets.
They are not appropriate for very small animals. Always select prey according to the individual pet’s mouth size and feeding ability.
How to Feed
- Offer in controlled portions as part of a varied feeding plan.
- Present in a smooth-sided feeding dish or offer individually with suitable tongs.
- Gut-load before use with an appropriate feeder-insect diet.
- Dust with supplements where required by your pet’s care plan.
- Remove uneaten worms after feeding and avoid overfeeding.
Keeping Morio Worms
Keep in a secure, well-ventilated container with suitable dry bedding or food. Protect from direct sunlight, moisture and temperature extremes, and provide safe hydration using suitable moisture-rich insect food.
Do not refrigerate unless specifically advised by the supplier, as morio worms generally require warmer storage than ordinary mealworms.
