About This Product

Johnson’s Insecticidal Spray Extra is a water-based pump spray for rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, gerbils and other suitable small animals over eight weeks old. It is formulated to kill fleas, lice and other common external parasites and can also help protect against re-infestation.

The spray may also be used on pet bedding, hutches, cages and regular resting areas as part of parasite control in the animal’s environment.

Treatment Guidance
  • Apply using the dosage directions on the product label.
  • If necessary, repeat every seven days until the infestation has cleared.
  • Occasional use can help protect against re-infestation.
  • Treat bedding, hutches, cages and regular resting areas as directed.

This product can also be used to help protect against fly strike. If fly strike is already established, consult a veterinary surgeon immediately.

  • Do not use on pregnant or nursing animals.
  • Do not use on animals under 8 weeks old.
  • Allow the fur to dry before handling your pet.
  • Do not use another flea or insect-control product during the treatment period.
