Frozen Rats Large are whole-prey frozen feeder rats designed for reptiles and other carnivorous animals that need a suitably sized prey item. The large 250g+ size makes them a practical choice for bigger feeders where a substantial whole-prey option is preferred.

Feeding

Thaw the rat thoroughly at room temperature before feeding. Offer it only once fully defrosted and ready for use.

  • Choose prey size carefully for the animal being fed
Storage

Keep frozen in the freezer until needed and store sealed to help prevent freezer burn. Once removed from frozen storage, prepare the prey item for feeding and do not return it to the freezer.

The rats in this product line are ethically bred and euthanised humanely. The large size is especially well suited to adult boas and pythons, with wider use across other suitable carnivorous species.
