Exo Terra UVB300 39W T5 Tube
About This UVB Tube
The Exo Terra UVB300 is a very-high-output T5 terrarium tube designed to provide UVA and UVB for reptiles with high UV exposure in open, arid or strongly sunlit habitats. Its UV spectrum supports natural vitamin D3 synthesis and normal calcium metabolism while helping to recreate an important part of natural sunlight inside the enclosure.
The UVB300 is intended for open and mid-day sun baskers. Exo Terra uses its Sunergy phosphor blend to produce a sunlight-like UVA and UVB spectrum, with strong penetration that can be useful in taller terrariums or where a screen reduces UV transmission.

Features & Benefits
- Very-high-output UVA and UVB from a T5 fluorescent tube.
- Supports vitamin D3 synthesis and normal calcium metabolism.
- UVA contributes to natural activity, feeding and reproductive behaviour.
- Sunergy phosphor blend is designed to reproduce key ultraviolet wavelengths found in sunlight.
- Enhanced UVB penetration makes the tube suitable for taller enclosures and setups with denser screens.
- Compatible with standard T5 fluorescent fittings of the correct wattage; Exo Terra recommends its T5 Terrarium Top fixture for consistent performance.
Setup & Use
Choose the lamp according to the animal's natural UV exposure and Ferguson Zone, then use appropriate UVI guidance to set the distance between the tube and basking area. UV intensity changes with distance, reflector efficiency, enclosure height and screen density.
Create a usable UV gradient with shaded areas and places where the animal can move completely out of the light. Exo Terra also recommends combining T5 UVB lighting with a suitable infrared-A heat source and bright visible lighting as part of a complete terrarium lighting setup.
UVB output gradually falls with use even while the tube still appears bright. Exo Terra recommends replacing its T5 UVB tubes at least every 12 months.
