Burgess Excel Mature Guinea Pig 1.5kg
Overview
Burgess Excel Mature Guinea Pig is a high-fibre nugget food for mature guinea pigs, made to fit the changing needs of older pets from 4+ years. The nugget format helps provide a consistent mix in every mouthful, while the recipe is designed to supplement the diet alongside plenty of hay or fresh grass.
With cranberry and mint for added variety, this mature formula includes protected vitamin C and a balanced blend of vitamins and minerals. It is formulated with vets and nutritionists and brings together targeted support for joints, digestive health, brain health, vitality, eye health and urinary tract health.
Guinea pigs cannot make their own vitamin C, so a guinea-pig-specific nugget such as this is a useful way to help top up their diet. It is also a practical choice if you want a nugget feed that can help reduce selective feeding.

Feeding Guide
Make hay or fresh grass the main part of the diet, making up around 85–90% of daily intake. Offer these mature nuggets in a small amount as the nutrient-rich part of the menu, then add fresh greens or herbs for variety.
Fresh water should always be available. If your guinea pig is moving from a muesli-style diet, change over gradually over 14–28 days so they can settle onto the new feeding routine comfortably.
This feed is designed to supplement the diet rather than replace the hay and fresh grass that guinea pigs need every day.
Suitability
- Suitable for mature guinea pigs aged 4+ years.
