Burgess Excel Junior & Dwarf Rabbit 1.5kg
Overview
Burgess Excel Junior & Dwarf Rabbit Nuggets are a rabbit nugget/pellet food designed for junior and dwarf rabbits as part of a balanced feeding routine. The recipe uses mint-flavoured nuggets with extra protein to support growth and development, while also helping to support healthy skin, a glossy coat, immune function and digestive health.
These nuggets are intended to be fed alongside plenty of hay or fresh grass, rather than used as a hay replacement. A nugget-based diet also helps avoid selective feeding, giving rabbits a more consistent and balanced daily feed. Use this 1.5kg pack as part of the wider Burgess Excel feeding approach, alongside hay/fresh grass, fresh greens or herbs, occasional treats and fresh water.
The recipe is suitable for rabbits aged 1 week and over, and is not suitable for rabbits under 1 week old.

Feeding guide
Feed as part of a rabbit diet built mainly around hay or fresh grass. Rabbits should have hay/fresh grass as the major part of the daily diet, with nuggets making up only a small portion alongside fresh greens or herbs, occasional treats and fresh water.
The daily guide for this recipe is:
| Small dwarf rabbit, 1–1.5kg | 20–30g |
| Large dwarf rabbit, 2–2.5kg | 40–50g |
| Junior rabbit | Up to 80g |
| Lactating does | 240–280g |
When changing from another food, move over gradually over 14–28 days, including when changing from junior to adult feeding.
Rabbit nuggets should make up around 5% of the daily diet, with hay or fresh grass making up 85–90%.
