Burgess Excel Guinea Pig Nuggets Blackcurrant 1.5kg
Overview
Burgess Excel Guinea Pig Nuggets Blackcurrant is a guinea pig nugget feed designed to complement the daily diet with vitamins and minerals. It is suitable for guinea pigs of all ages and is made as part of the Burgess Excel range.
The recipe is high in fibre to support healthy digestion, with prebiotic FOS included to help maintain beneficial gut flora. It also supports skin and coat condition, while antioxidants and protected vitamin C help support the immune system.
Blackcurrant and oregano are added for extra taste, while the nugget format helps reduce selective feeding so your guinea pig is more likely to eat a balanced ration rather than picking out favourite pieces.
For best results, this should be fed alongside plenty of hay and/or fresh grass, with fresh water available at all times.

Daily feeding guide:
| Guinea pig under 1kg | 45g per day |
| Guinea pig 1kg and over | 60g per day |
When changing from muesli-style food, move gradually to a hay-and-nugget routine over 14–28 days. Keep an eye on your guinea pig’s weight and seek veterinary advice if you are unsure about feeding amounts.
