Adult cats should be fed between 2-3% of the ideal body weight per day. Kittens require 5-6% until the age of maturity.

A 5kg adult cat will therefore only require around 100-150g per day, but this can vary tremendously from cat to cat. Watch your cat’s weight for a few days then adjust the portion size up or down as appropriate.
